The club took part in a very successful exhibition day as part of the
official opening of Coomers Water
Sports.
- November
09 - The club has been invited to be part of the opening
day exhibition at Coomers Watersports. The club will hold a number of
exhibition races during the course of the day.
- August
09 the club moved over to its new site closer to the Coomera
Water Sports club house. A special thanks must go to Grant Pforr for
all of his help and assistance with our new race site.
- The club this month (March
08)has been given council permission on the use of the lake. The times
given for use of the lake are from 10.00 am to 2.00pm . Also development
at the Regatta centre is still progressing.
- On the 16 Nov 08 the club held
its first petrol mono chellenge event with some good prizes up for grabs.
Hopefully this may be an annual event. The event was well represented
by local club members as well as some good support shown by the Brisbane
Model Marine Club. After some inital problems with the PA system some
good racing was enjoyed. First place on the day was well taken by Tony
......... . Second by Murray Mackenzie and third place by Henry Eitz.
Congratulations to all who participated. We are looking at running a
couple more of these featured single events during the course of upcoming
club race days. With a possible Petrol Hydro event soon after the New
Year with more prizes up fpr grabs.
- Work is also in the progress
of being started at Coomera Watersports(Nov 08) so hopefully the new
works program is not too far away.
- The club would like to
congratute all the members who attened the 2007 Winter Specacular at
Penrith. The club was successful with Phil Fisher (2nd - B mono), Shane
Wiseman (3rd - B mono), Geoff Marshall ( 2nd - 23cc petrol) and Tony
Lewis ( 1st B-hydro). For all the results please use the link following.
Event
Results - 2007 Winter Specacular
- Just a reminder that
the Winter Specacular is on again in Penrith. The meeting is on from 24th
- 26th of August .
- Several
of our club members travelled to Cherry Lakes in April for the 2007
Australian Nationals. Congrtaulaions to Brett Ward (1st - C Hydro),
Steve Winks (1st B- Hydro), Tony Lewis (3rd - B Hydro) and Phil Fisher

- The
AMPBA Nationals are being held at Cherry Lakes, Altona, Vic in April.
The committee would like to wish all members who are competing the best
of luck.
- The
club was well represented at the Hunter Valley Championships in October
06. Tony Lewis won A and C Hydro, Bretton Raes was sucessfull with a
3rd place in B mono. Steve Winks was also successful with a 3rd place
in X mono
- The
club held its AGM in Sept. Brett Ward was elected as the new president.
Out-going president Bruce Gardiner was thanked for his work. Peter
Ferry remained as Treasurer and Jules Raes was re-elected as Secretary.
A big thank you for the committe was acknowledged by all in attendance.
- The
club held its first race day at Regatta Waters, Coomera last Sunday
(20-08-2006). The club would like to thank all of those who attended.
The feedback received from the members who attended was positive. Although
there is still some fine tuning of the site to be completed yet. The
committee would like any ideas from members regarding the set up of
our new site.
- Last
weekend (19-08-2006) several members traveled to Sydney to compete in
the Sydney Winter Extravaganza held at Penrith. Congratulations to those
who were successful and those who attended. Results are able to be viewed

- Also,
in June two of our members Steve Winks and Phil Fisher (Team Wide boy)
travelled to U.S.A. to compete at the NAMBA tittles. Steve was successful
with achieving second place in B mono. Team Wideboy was also unlucky
not to win the nitro marathon as well. Congratulations and well
done to both Steve and Phil.
Also
with the new web site the club is offering prominent sponsorship exposure
to Sponsors. In the form of sponsorship exposure on the web page of their
choice.
